The Gentle Comfort of Everyday Blessings

Read this as a god wink, as a confirmation that the unseen is taking shape right now as something beautiful.

I forgot to share this story but got reminded some couple of days ago as I was playing outside with my daughter. It’s not a big story, but it’s a God wink (a good wink!) and I love sharing these small glimpses because they make the unseen, seen, the intangible, feel tangible. Sometimes we don’t even realize we need these little glimpses, but I’ve came to know that whenever Awe, hits you in your face unexpectedly it’s Him showing off His love, that He’s in control and these moments bring comfort, not because of what’s happening, but because we know they come from the Comforter. He told me to share it here too.

Ok now I feel like I’ve been doing this long intro, like building up to a big moment, but just see it as a little love cliffhanger.

A couple of weeks ago, I was playing with my children in the park, and they found a blue football that was on the street and they started playing with it and ended up bringing it home and inside, and before I got time to notice it they ended up throwing it out the balcony so I went downstairs (on the outside) and tried to kick it back up through the balcony, but my non-existent football skills made the ball bounce back out on the street on the first try, and it was a super windy day so it started rolling up the street, and the wind carried it away faster than I could run after it so I just told my kids “Well, we just have to let it go. It doesn’t matter. If it’s meant to come back, it will.”

I went back inside and started playing something else with them. Not many minutes passed by and I looked out the balcony: A man was standing there, literally outside our balcony, holding the blue football in his hands. He must have seen the whole scene, and he told us, I couldn’t help it but I saw you and had to help you. So he drove back with his car just to bring it back. Then at the first try it came in through the balcony, into the house.

In that moment, I just knew, it was God showing me that whatever is meant for you will come at the right time, without effort. You don’t have to chase it or hold onto it. Sometimes you just have to let go, so you can be held in Him, in His love, and feel the comfort that comes from that.

Even things from your past may return, we never know, but what’s always here, what always stands, is (t)His love. On this love screen, life may bounce back and forth different shapes on it, but love remains still.

If grief, fear, sadness, loss, anxiety arise meet it with Love appearing as forgiveness, as being healed Now.

If old projects, ideas, XYC turn back with joy, with new eyes, meet it as Love resurrected Now.

I Love You.
