Playing Uno cards on Holy Ground
It’s an “ordinary” tuesday morning and me and my son are sitting at the kitchen table playing Uno (a card game), while I’m chanting/thanking inside, and I can feel His Silence filling up the room. I become aware of His Love that was Here before I became aware of it again.
I look into my son’s eyes, and I feel the well of water rising from within, wanting to pour out.
My son already knows me, and he gives me that gentle smile as I already know what he’s going to tell me, so I tell Him, “You know, these are not tears of sadness. They are tears of gratitude. They are tears of love.”
I tell him how much I love him and feel in my heart how this is no ordinary tuesday in the middle of a work/school week.
This is eternity appearing as a mother and his son playing uno cards inside His Silence.
He is looking out of my son’s eyes and in this meeting I know there are no ordinary or extraordinary days, only Silence.
In truth, no mother, no son, no tuesday, no uno cards, no labeling of ordinary or extraordinary.
Love is Here, and we are playing uno cards on Holy Ground.
Silence. Love. Stillness. Grace.
Writing this I close my eyes and see my son’s smile again, I see that loving gaze and it’s starts welling up again because somewhere I still believe Love is in his form, but the emotions settles, there’s no need for another storm of sorrow. I open my eyes and See:
Love Is Here too, on the train.
Love Is Here too, thumbs typing on a phone screen.
Love Is Here.
I Am Here.

If you only got one last card to play, let it Be, The Love Card.
You’re already holding it in your hands, you’re already playing from Love, and you also won.
He gave us the winning card already, but it wouldn’t be so fun to play if we’d knew how everything would play out rigth?
Stay in Love and in awe of His wonders today.
