Soulful Friday Edit | A Journey Within

Hello, friend. How are you?

I hope you’re doing well, and that these words find their way to the same quiet, joyful place within you from which the inspiration for The SoulFull Friday Edit first arose.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve given myself permission to slow down, to contemplate, and simply be. In that spaciousness, I’ve noticed the small things that nourish the soul are often the ones that ask the least of us. So here’s a little collection of what has been bringing me peace this week. But also, what a strange thing to do, give permission to slow down? Who is the one giving permission to who? lol.

What I’ve been listening to:

  • Closed on Sunday – Kanye West
  • Let’s Love – Sia
  • Sail Away – David Gray

What to drink on a warm summer day in the city or outside:

An iced matcha from Matchaverket (my latest discovery in Stockholm). If you want to start making it at home, get a premium brand and there’s a difference between matcha and ceremonial grade matcha. I’m not an expert but I’ve notice a big difference both in quality and taste.

Also, I’ve noticed that when my anxiety levels are higher during some seasons and I switch to matcha in the morning it gets better. There’s also a lot of other benefits if you want to dig deeper.

What to read:

The Practice of the Presence of God – Brother Lawrence.

This isn’t simply a book. It’s a compass. A loving hand reaching out, gently guiding you back to what has always been true: God’s presence is available in every ordinary moment, if only we’re willing to notice, to walk the pathless path.

Eufeeling! by Frank Kinslow

The Infinite Way by Joel S. Goldsmith

(They’re also all available at Audible if you want the audiobook version)

What to nourish yourself with (Besides Love):

Eat your vitamins (or don’t lol).

Lately, though, this body had been feeling unusually fatigued and low on energy, and I felt like sharing.

You know I believe our deepest nourishment is found in Silence—in the conscious awareness of Love. But it was also nudging me to take a little better care of it’s vessel that I sometimes neglect because I tend to keep things too simple sometimes and skip meals lol.

So, if you’re looking for high-quality supplements, I wanted to share a few brands I trust: Cymbiotika, Vimergy, and MaryRuth’s.

What to Do?

Move your body. Just go on a little walk, maybe take another route than your usual walk. Let yourself wander. Let your spirit guide you in a new direction. Let the Love stir in you and see what message it has for you.

A practice for the WeekEnd & New beginning

Notice the familiar tendencies that arise on a Friday or Saturday evening. Perhaps it’s the urge to fill the silence, to go out, to seek connection simply because being alone feels uncomfortable.

This weekend, experiment with remaining inside (although the body will move around and go out).

Stay with the Silence. Listening to it, like you could hear someone from the distance gently knocking on your front door.

Observe how the feeling of loneliness slowly transforms into something entirely different, a deeper intimacy with YourSelf, a gentle release, a freedom from needing to add anything to the present moment.

Continue observing whatever emotions arise and the thoughts that usually accompany them. Breathe through them without resisting or chasing them away. As you do, you may discover that beneath the noise lies a quieter place filled with unexpected treasures.

What I’d love for you to bring into the coming week

✨A sense of joyful peace while doing all that life asks of you.

✨Remember the prayers you’re living in right now, as your current reality.

Gratitude has changed for me over the years. I used to sit down and intentionally make gratitude lists. Now it feels less like a practice and more like a Way of Being.

It’s no longer about finding things to be grateful for. It’s about resting in gratitude itself—a quiet, embodied awareness of abundance that exists before circumstances are labeled “good” or “bad”.

And whenever that good feeling begins to fade, I know I’ve drifted from Presence. Instead of judging myself, I simply let gratitude become the compass that leads me home again.

A mantra for keeping the busy mind In:

Thank you, Life, for Life.

I Am the gift of Life. Thank You.

Repeat it gently whenever your mind becomes restless.

Let the words settle into your heart.

You’ll be surprised how quickly something begins to soften within you.

Because Everything is Spirit.

Everything is Alive.

Everything is moving and Everything is Still inside Love as Love.

I Am not, only Love IS.

I Love You.
