3 Prayers to Pray when you’ve outgrown your Prayers.
You thought something good was coming through in your life, you were so close you could almost taste it, but suddenly it gets silent, quiet, still and you wonder what part did I miss? Where did I turn left when He said right? But deep down you can sense it is not a dead silence; it is not a terrifying stillness that has you stuck. It is filled with peace instead of panic this time, like a deeper knowing that everything will turn out more than just fine.
You were praying, praying and praying, being obedient, following all the steps—and suddenly, Silence. Nothing. Nada. And all you’re left with is wonder and yes maybe that old ruminating anxiety trying to tell you how bad things will turn out this time, like you really messed up big time this time.
But you are being taken care of even in this season, so keep Thanking while you still being aware of your wonder but not wandering anymore, keep Thanking that you are found, Because HE found you.

And the shoe you were praying for, the one you thought was next for you to wear, is gone because you already outgrew that one too. But He saw that coming so He has been preparing another shoe for you, one you don’t have to worry about, one that will hold you through the long run.
It’s a shoe that comes with a life guarantee, with unlimited visits to the shoe store, one that feels like walking on water, one that feels light and comfortable and made exactly for your feet, as though the Shoemaker Himself crafted it.
Still, you are tiptoeing, wondering, When will I receive my new shoes? How will they arrive? And you don’t know. But meanwhile, you are learning to walk barefoot, to trust that it is safe to take a step without the shoe, to trust that there is ground beneath you even when your feet might feel a little cold and you wish you could run a bit faster and further ahead.
And I know you know, but we are not really talking about shoes here. We are talking about moving back Home, returning Home and staying Here for good. And you will see that walking barefoot for a little while was worth all the small bruises and sticks you collected along the way.
3. Simple Prayers You can say Out Loud to bring you comfort (or all in one):
~ Thank you Father for calling me back Home and for giving me no other option than to rely on You and Rest in You.
~ Thank you for Being able to Feel your Peace while I wait for my next move, for the next season you are calling me into.
~ Thank you Father for always making a way for me and for clearing my path when I can’t even see the next step ahead.
THANK YOU, IN JESUS’ NAME,
AMEN.
BREATHE. EXHALE. REST. FEEL THE GROUND BENEATH YOU.
I AM YOUR GROUND NOW AND YOUR STEP, AND THE NEXT ONE, AND THE NEXT ONE.
I love you,
Pati.
