Soulful friday edit | from movement to stillness

Hello, friend.
How are you? Are you feeling Love as you let these words sip into your consciousness?
I am. And I can also hear my body telling me that I should go to bed, leave the cashews and dates alone, but you gotta keep the promises you make to yourself, right? And I wanted to post this Soulful Friday Edit, even though I am looking at a clock showing 00:01 lol, but everything is always on time, on Love, and if there’s one thing i’ve learned is that adulting will have you carve out time from under the stones, when there seems to be none.

Someone asked me this question: Why do you enjoy Silence so much?
I hadn’t really thought about it, but maybe it’s because that’s where I can Hear. Feel Him.
It’s from where I try to decipher the language of Spirit, while also becoming aware of how loud it is up there there in the monkey mind. But with practice, Stillness always ends up taking over.

I’ve also noticed that Silence is the fertile ground from which we can create freely. And when the craft is finished, it is not ours to judge. It is already out of the system, and regardless of how it is received, you feel that inner joy, pulsating. I also believe that when we’re in alignment, the things we share from that Source are pure, and they reach the one(s) they have to reach and we can let go of the micromanaging mind and release it back to Him.

What’s IN with music this week:
Rescuing those forgotten songs that made you lock yourself up in your room, daydream, and feel like you were on top of the world. You already are, because being on top has nothing to do with visibility or being “on top” of the world. It’s Feeling Him. Being. It truly is that simple.

So go listen to the Silence behind the music while you dance, shake it off, and keep moving towards Him.

Beneath Your Beautiful — Labrinth
It’s My House — Diana Ross
I Can See Clearly Now — Johnny Nash

Nothing to see.

Please double-check, but I think you can create an account and borrow this last one for free here.

A practice for you to bring into the weekend:
Play your favourite song out loud and let your body start dancing in circles, letting it move freely. Don’t try to perform or choreograph any movement. Rather, let your body guide you. Use it as an antenna to stir you back into Stilness, back into Love, into YourSelf. It’s like your moving out of the mind through the body, and you’ll notice movement happening while YOU are still, Aware, Silent inside.

I Believe we have a theme here? Music. Silence. Movement. Stillness.
For me, movement has always been such a beautiful way to clear the mind and come back into the remembrance of Being, a tool I use often to keep it abiding in Him.

And to finish up, I’ll share this little poem. Well, I don’t know if it’s a poem, but words that came through the other day in Silence, about Silence.

Where is your favourite place?
Silence.
Who is your favourite person?
Silence.
What is your favourite melody?
Silence.
What is your greatest desire?
Silence.
Because here, there are no desires, no sound, no favourites to choose between, nor places to go to.
I am at home, and everyone is welcome to come and go as they please and at the same time an infinity of melodies can be composed. I can visit every place without leaving a trace. And there are no favourites to choose between because there is no one asking questions or trying to be found, lost in the seeking.
Can you hear me calling your name, my favourite son?

Let Him have you moving from dancing to Stillness, from music to Silence.

Ok, I’m over ‘n out. This was waaaay beyond my bedtime.
I love you.

Laugh as you are pulled from the garden and plunged into powered sugar. You are Isaac. I am Abraham. How could I hurt you? Love is a Father. The beloved leaves like a gust of wind. Do not hurry, I call. Go slowly – RUMI
